Music, Health and Wellbeing - the European Forum on Music 2026

The European Music Council will focus on the topic of music, health and wellbeing for their annual conference and meeting, The European Forum on Music. Through discussions and presentations, they will "explore how music supports physical and mental health, strengthens resilience, and contributes to wellbeing across society." The European Forum on Music will take place 9-12 June in Timisoara, Romania, and registration is still open.

Native Instruments acquired by InMusic

The music tech company Native Instruments, best known for their huge range of professional standard synths and effects plugins, has announced it is joining Akai Moog, M-Audio and more under the umbrella of InMusic. The announcement has followed a 'challenging' period for the company, and ensures continued access to many products and services relied on by producers and creators worldwide. Music Patron established independent organisation

Composer support initiative Music Patron, founded in 2021 by Anthony Bolton in parnership with Sound and Music, has established itself as an independent organisation. The move reflects a commitment to scale its work - which has so far supported 25 composers leading to 165 events worldwide - nationally, and expand its community-built supports for new music.
